Tip #1: Transfering Data to another Machine
This question has come up several times. If you've upgraded to a new machine w/ a new hard drive you want to be able to move your PerfPRO data over without a lot of hassle. Here's how you do it:

On the old Machine:
  • Load up PerfPRO on the old machine and go into the Utilities Menu.
  • Select the “Backup PerfPRO Data” option.
  • Select a folder where you want to backup your data. Select a Jump Drive or an easy place you can get too so you can copy the ZIP file that gets generated to a CD or whatever else.
  • Begin the backup.
  • Once it’s done copy that file to the other computer.

On new Machine:
  • Now install PerfPRO on the new machine.
  • Load up PerfPRO, register it using your personal registration number then skip any prompts to import data.
  • Go into the Utilities Menu and select “Restore PerfPRO data from previous backup”. It will prompt you, just say “Yes”.
  • Navigate to the folder where your PerfPRO Backup file is located (e.g., PPBackup 2009-10-13 085319Z.zip) and select it.
  • Say Yes to the prompt and PerfPRO will begin restoring your data.
  • Follow the prompts then PerfPRO will restart.
