It would be nice to have the ability to merge files from two devices. Currently I have a Garmin Edge 500 (distance, altitude, HR among others) and an iBike (distance, altitude & power among other items). I would like to merge the two files for a given event so the HR and power data is merged together. The online TrainingPeaks can do this, but it would be nice to do natively in your software. As an aside, I can not use the TrainingPeaks (TP) merged file as it uses a .pwr file format that your program can not read. Anyway, I'd just as soon do away with the TP subscription. I realize there can be limitations to merging, but it seems that a time based, or distance based interpolation should work.

PS In my particular case there is a hardware solution (once I take the iBike wireless it will merge the HR data), but that costs $$'s that I don't currently have.

I am testing the software and I like it a lot. I am using to record data from my Garmin Edge 705 for outdoors and my Computrainer Pro for indoor. A question:

Does this software record actual moving time? What I mean is that during a ride sometime one stops for any reason. I'd like to see the total time and the actual moving time. I also have Ascent for my Mac which records both ( I want to move to one software only to be able to record both Garmin and Computrainer)

2) I do my 15min warm up in CS and then my workout in MR - can I combine the two files into one workout?

3) If I cut my workout short but continue to let MR run to the end is there a way I can edit the file to delete the tail end portion that contains to power data?

Thanks so much - I really like the looks of this product!

PerfPRO Update Available - Version 3.70.1

An update is available for PerfPRO version 3.70.1 at the website:
http://perfprolog.com

You can download the new update from the Purchase/Download page:
http://perfprolog.com/Download.aspx

Use the “Upgrade Existing Version" button to download the update.

Updates and Bug Fixes

Version 3.70.1

• Help documentation updated significantly. As always, this is an on-going process.

• Added a “Selected Riders” pull-down for both the Race Log and the Graphs tab. This feature allows you to view more than one rider within your race log, but not all riders. You can now pick and choose. This same feature is within the Graphs tab. Now you have the ability to create a Training Stress Balance (TSB) chart for multiple riders (as a whole). This is especially handy if you are separating indoor from outdoor rides.

• Added an option within the Stats tab within Options. Update time stamp for exported CDF text files when loaded: This option only applies to exported CDF text files that originated from RacerMate’s Coaching Software. When the Coaching Software exports a CDF file, the date stamp is not included within the data and the newly created file has today’s date. This can be a problem having to re-export any performances. With this option checked, PerfPRO will attempt to read the date stamp within the CDF file if it exists in the same folder. If PerfPRO is unable to read the header information then it will use the file date of the CDF file. The CDF file must reside in the same folder as the TXT file for this option to work. PerfPRO will then set the exported file’s time stamp to the time of the CDF file plus the duration of the ride. This will allow for a correct start time when the TXT file is loaded the next time and can then be independent of the CDF file.

• Training Stress Balance Graph. This graph now shows your current TSB score as “Current TSB @ #.##” at the bottom of the graph. This gives you a quick value to see if you’re in the hole or not.

• Lap analysis (found in the Analyze tab within an opened performance) was disabled in the past when only one lap existed. This was found to be incorrect and has been adjusted.

• Added the ability to create/edit user information when opening a performance. In the past there was enough information in the “Edit Performance” window to get new user information entered, but lacked the ability to setup power/heart rate zones before that first performance was saved. This can now be done by using the small “Edit” button next to the user’s name.

• Added a “Favorite Course” option when opening performances. The Favorite Courses option has been around for a long time and used for searching. This option, however, had to be done after courses were created. Users can now mark a course as a favorite as they are saving new performances.

• As of Sept 20th, Google maps started to generate script errors when viewing maps. PerfPRO has been updated to work around this issue.

• Added a button next to the Comments field when editing/adding a performance. This button opens a window to view/edit more comments.

• Small adjustment made on how laps are calculated for Garmin files.

• Updated the search panel for the race log. Users can now enter any text to search comments, workout types, course names, and rider names.

• Added Next/Previous month buttons next to the start/stop dates within the race log. This moves the dates forward or back one month.

• Added a Month and Year pull-down option within the race log. Use these two pull-downs as a quicker way to get to your history.

• When viewing overall progress, added a set of Best values for the Maximum Threshold section. You can now see the average watts for each segment as well as your best watts for each segment.

• Bug Fix: When viewing overall progress graphs and having All Riders selected, PerfPRO would sometimes generate an error when mousing over the graph. This has been fixed.

• Bug Fix: When viewing All Riders from the Race Log then adding a new performance, sometimes the columns do not update leaving incorrect values displayed in various columns. This has been fixed.

If any of you PerfPRO people out there are heading to that race come look me up. I'm guessing we should be able to look up rosters so we know who's at what pit area. Just check it out to find out where I'm at.

Hope to see you there,

I have different riders setup for outside rides, computrainer rides and an include all rides. Would like to be able to Load a race put in my course and comments and save it. Then copy that ride and info into another rider. For example I do a computrainer ride so I load the race input all my info and save it, then I could copy that into my rider that had all my rides in it. It would just be a bit more easy than loading the race twice and re-typing the course and comments.

Thanks for everything

An update is available for PerfPRO version 3.65.1 at the website. The website itself has taken on some major changes. Please go through the site and checkout the various information. If you have friends that are considering purchasing PerfPRO, by next week the site will accept credit cards besides the use of PayPal. I understand that PayPal is not ideal for everyone so the site is charging ahead.

http://perfprolog.com

You can download the new update from the Purchase/Download page:
http://perfprolog.com/Purchase.aspx

Use the “Download a Trial Version Now” button to download the update. If you have been testing with the beta version, simply download the trial version from the website and re-install. No matter what version you are currently using this update will over-right the beta/trial into an official release since you are already a registered user.

Please read the “Updates and Bug Fixes” section for what all has been done in the last six months.

*** Important ***

If you have been using the internet features of PerfPRO such as posting reports to the website you will need to get this update. The PerfPRO website has moved to new servers and previous versions of PerfPRO do not point at these servers. If a server should move again you will not see this problem due to the updates that have been made.

If you have any questions about this release please feel free to ask.

Thanks and train smart,
